For the architect, creating spaces with purpose and character is key to house design.
It's a short step to include garden design in the 'floor-plan' of your home.
Instead of living rooms and bedrooms we might design for lazy space, productive space, summer gatherings or a teenage snug - By looking at the workings of your house we can explore ways the garden can support and expand your home life.
The Garden Masterplan
When it comes to gardens, I am aware of a gap between no design input and commissioning a fully developed, plant-centred design.
The garden masterplan I offer bridges that gap.
We take the same three design steps as we would for designing a house and view the garden as an extension of your home.
Step 1 Developing the Brief
We meet on site, we talk and walk through your garden, we look at the garden in context with the house and your daily life.
We flag up any activities that your house might be struggling to accommodate and develop a checklist of needs and wants that the garden can happily deliver.
Step 2 Testing Ideas
We explore ideas through sketch scheme designs looking at connections to the house, creating spaces and places with purpose and character and your gardening style.
We talk through your budget, skill set, planting and pathways and we consider any structures or outbuildings that could make all the difference.
Step 3 The Design
The Garden Masterplan brings all the ideas together as an illustrated vision of where you're heading.
You can sequence your gardening knowing that things are in the right place at the outset and plan ahead with enthusiasm.
Step 4 Happy gardening
You are ready to move forward independently in your own time and enjoy the long-game creativity of making a garden that works with your house to make a happy home.

Small Gardens: £900
Medium Gardens: £1400
Large Gardens: £1800 upward
